National Training Program on “Artificial Insemination in Pigs”

ICAR-Central Coastal Agricultural Research Institute, Goa organized a National Training Program on “Artificial Insemination in Pigs” Sponsored by department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India from 24-26th October 2015.

Dr. Arun S. Ninawe, Advisor, Department of Biotechnology was the Chief Guest of the inaugural session held on 24 October 2015 at ICAR-CCARI, Goa.

Dr. Narendra Pratap Singh Director, ICAR-CCARI presided over the function and in his speech gave emphasis on the importance of livestock in agricultural economy.

Earlier, Dr E. B. Chakurkar, Organizing Secretary and Principal Scientist (Animal Reproduction), ICAR-CCARI, Goa welcomed the Chief Guest.

The participants were given Practical demonstration and hand on experience on Semen collection, evaluation and preservation from Boar.

Twelve veterinary professionals (Scientists, Academicians and Veterinary Officers) from the states of Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh participated in the training program.
