ErnestoIlly Trieste Science Prize by Academy of Sciences for the Developing World, Italy awarded to ICAR National Professor

Professor P.K. Aggarwal, ICAR National Professor at the Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi, has been awarded the ErnestoIlly Trieste Science Prize by the Italy based Academy of Sciences for the Developing World (TWAS), world's foremost  international Academy for scientists from the developing world. The award, consisting of a trophy, a certificate and a prize of US$ 100,000, is designed to bring recognition and distinction to the developing world's most eminent scientists. Professor Aggarwal shared the prize with a Brazilian scientist. The award has been given for his scientific leadership and contributions to enhance the understanding of the vulnerability of agriculture in the developing countries to climate change
