Dr. Trilochan Mohapatra, Secretary (DARE) and Director General (ICAR) graced the valedictory function of Inter-University Youth Festival (Reverie - 2K16) as a Chief Guest at ICAR-National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal on 13th April, 2016. Reverie-2K – an annual Inter-University Youth Festival organized by NDRI Students Union. He said that apart from being fun, such activities are one of the ways to socialize with peers and can enhance students’ time management as well helps to keep away stress.
Dr. Mohapatra inaugurated a series of lecture on Nutritional Pharmacology on 14th April, 2016, organized by the National Academy of Dairy Sciences, India (NADSI).
Referring the science as tool of development, Dr. Mohapatrata maintained that science helps in laying foundation of technology that leads to development of the nation, so the scientists should contribute more in development of user friendly technology to address the challenges faced by the dairy sector. Dr. Mohapatra also released the logo of NADSI. He also interacted with the students, faculty and other staff members of the Institute. He also visited the facilities at Central Soil Salinity Research Institute (CSSRI) and Indian Institute of Wheat & Barley Research (IIWBR) and interacted with the scientists.
Dr. AK Srivastava, Director & Vice-chancellor, ICAR-NDRI presented the achievements of NDRI as well as of NADSI.
