Closing Ceremony of Vigilance Awareness Campaign at NIRJAFT

Justice Altamas Kabir, Former Chief Justice of India, addressed the Closing Ceremony of Weeklong Vigillance Awareness Campaign as Chief Guest at National Institute of Research on Jute and Allied Fibre Technology today. In his address, he said “we are living in a situation which calls for organizing conferences on this issue not only in India but also in the world. One has to realize what exactly corruption is and what could constitute corruption. There are four prime parameters needed in a corruption free society – Sensitivity, Sincerity, Commitment and Integrity, he added. Justice Altamas urged the students to become vigilant from the early age by building strong moral character and always dream for a corruption free India so that the nation can achieve glorious progress in the years to come.

Chief Guest also gave away the prizes to the winners of different competitions organized among the school children and staff members of NIRJAFT during the Vigilance Awareness Campaign (Oct. 26-31, 2015).

Earlier, Dr. Debasis Nag, Director, ICAR-NIRJAFT in his welcome address, gave a brief introduction of Justice Kabir and also briefed on major achievements of the Institute.

Dr. Gautam Basu, Head, Mechanical Processing Division of the Institute proposed vote of thanks.
