Dr. Trilochan Mohapatra, Secretary (DARE) & Director General (ICAR) visited ICAR- Indian Institute of Water Management, Bhubaneswar today. While interacting with the scientists of ICAR-IIWM, Dr. Mohapatra stressed the need of replicating the cutting edge technologies in the field of Agricultural water management. He emphasized the need for technology dissemination and upscaling of appropriate technologies in the field of rainfed agriculture, equity in canal water distribution, waste water utilization and waterlogged areas.

Director General administered pledge on “Swacchata Abhiyan” programme to the staff members of the Institute and called on Swacchata in a holistic manner so that it really fulfills its objective of taking nation to a newer height.

In his address, to the participants of training program on “Water management strategies in watershed development” under PMKSY, Dr Mohaoatra emphasized the effective implementation of technologies developed for overall benefit of farming community.
