30th September 2013, Nandurbar
Directorate of Onion and Garlic Research (DOGR), Rajgurunagar organized one-day training programme under the TSP scheme at KVK, Nandurbar (Maharashtra) on 30th September 2013. The programme was presided over by Shri K.K. Patil, President, Dr. Hegdewar Seva Samiti, Nandurbar and chaired by Dr. Jai Gopal, Director, DOGR, Rajgurunagar. Shri K.K. Patil expressed optimism and appreciated the enthusiasm shown by the farmers in undertaking the onion and garlic cultivation.
Earlier, Dr. A.J. Gupta, Sr. Scientist (Horticulture) and Nodal Officer, TSP scheme briefed the farmers about the activities of the TSP programme to be undertaken in this area.
The programme was followed by ‘Krishi Tantragyan Mahotsav’ for the group of farmers. Dr. Jai Gopal, Director, DOGR was the chief guest of this programme. Shri Nayak, CEO, Zilla Parishad, Nandurbar; Shri Navale, Director, Dr. Hegdewar Seva Samiti, Nandurbar; Shri Nikam, Project Director, ATMA and Shri Rathi, Deputy Director, Agriculture Department were also present on the occasion.
The Programme was organized for the benefit of the farmers selected under the TSP scheme who will be undertaking onion and garlic cultivation in the tribal belt of Nandurbar. Nearly 250 farmers from various villages of Nandurbar attended the programme.
