Governor of Arunachal Pradesh visited and praised NRC on Yak

His Excellency, The Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Lt. General (retd.) Nirbhay Sharma, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, VSM visited National Research Centre on Yak, Dirang on 28th April 2014. He expressed his satisfaction and happiness to see the well-equipped laboratories and research facilities at this difficult and remote location. He visited the labs, interacted with scientists and was given an overview of the current research programme at the institute. His Excellency appreciated the on-going work and asked the scientists to give more emphasis on lab to land programme for the betterment of the resource poor yak herdsman.  He was accompanied by Principal Secretary (Home) Shri D. Sharma, IAS and other distinguished officers of Arunachal Pradesh.

Dr. P. Chakravarty, Principal Scientist welcomed His Excellency along-with other scientists. Dr. D. Bhattacharya, Principal Scientist made a presentation briefing the activities and important contribution made by the NRC on Yak in this region.
