Workshop on IPR with special reference to microbial genetic resources organized

Workshop on Interfacing Innovation and IPR for Licensing and Commercialization of Technology organized ICAR-National Bureau of Agriculturally Important Micro-organisms, Mau organized a workshop on “Interfacing Innovation and IPR for Licensing and Commercialization of Technology in the Changing Global Scenario with special reference to microbial genetic resources” at, Mau from 18-20th December, 2014.

Dr. A. K. Sharma, Director NBAIM in his ingural address stressed on the need to have awareness about technical details on protection of intellectual property and maximizing its usage through commercialization of technologies in the current global scenario.

Three days long workshop was divided into an inaugural session, three technical sessions, two hands on practical exercise sessions and a plenary session.

Twenty participants from ICAR-Indian Institute of Pulses Research, Kanpur; ICAR- Central Institute of Brackishwater Aquaculture, Chennai; ICAR- Central Institute of Fisheries Technology, Cochin; Chandra Shekar Azad University of Agriculture & Technology, Kanpur; ICAR-Directorate of Seed Research, Mau and ICAR-NBAIM, Mau attended the workshop.

The workshop was concluded by vote of thanks from Dr. P.K. Sharma.
