International Partnership agreement signed between ICAR and the University of Edinburgh

A Memorandum of Understanding was co-signed by Dr. S. Ayyappan, Director General of the Indian Council for Agricultural Research and Prof. James Smith, Vice-Principal (International) of the University of Edinburgh, UK for advancing animal production, health and welfare research and training.

The signing ceremony was held during two-day international workshop heldat NASC, New Delhi. The programme was graced by Shri R. Rajagopal, Additional Secretary, DARE & Secretary, ICAR, Prof. KML Pathak, Dy. Director General (Animal Sciences), Vice Chancellors from Veterinary Universities and Directors of ICAR Institutes and Senior Officers from the ICAR.

More than 70 scientists from across ICARs research and veterinary institutes and associated Universities attended this stimulating event, alongside 10 academics from Edinburgh’s Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary studies, Roslin Institute and Scotlands Rural College, including Chief Guest, Professor James Smith, Edinburgh University’s International Vice-Principal.
