Training Programme on “Fodder Production, Conservation and Utilization” organized

The ICAR-Indian Grassland and Fodder Research Institute, Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh organized the five-day Training Programme on Fodder Production, Conservation and Utilization from 7th to 11th March, 2022.

Inaugurating the programme, Dr. Amresh Chandra, Director, ICAR-IGFRI, Jhansi opined the role of capacity building in farm diversification with the fodder-based farming practices.

Earlier, delivering the welcome address, Dr. Purushottam Sharma, Chairman (HRD) & Head, Division of Social Sciences, ICAR-IGFRI, Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh

The participants were apprised about the knowledge and skill on the improved forage crop varieties and production technologies for the irrigated and dryland conditions across the Begusarai District of Bihar during occasion.

The programme was aimed at apprising the farmers with the untapped potential of the fodder-based farming systems and capitalizing its veiled opportunities.

A total of 32 farmers from Bihar participated in the programme.
