The ICAR-Central Coastal Agricultural Research Institute, Goa organized the Training Programme on “Digital Tools and Techniques for Self-reliant Goan Agriculture” for the Officers and Staff Members of the Directorate of Agriculture, Government of Goa today.
Prof. (Dr.) S.K. Singh, Former Director, ICAR-NBSSLUP, Nagpur, Maharashtra delivered a Talk on “How to use the Goa Bhoomi Geoportal and other Digital Tools for a Sustainable Agricultural Production in Goa”.
Earlier, delivering the welcome address, Dr. Parveen Kumar, Director, ICAR-CCARI, Goa highlighted the importance of the training on digital tools and its use for the state of Goa. The use of digital tools for the scientific land use planning with sustainable use of natural resources was also highlighted by Dr. Kumar.
The programme organized as a part of the “Bharat Ka Amrut Mahotsav” to commemorate 75 Years of India’s Independence registered participation by a total of 23 participants from the Directorate of Agriculture, Government of Goa.
