A one-day Chara Ghosthi for Pasu Palak and Poorvanchal Krishi Pradarshani evam Kisan Ghosti was inaurgated by Shri Yogi Aditya Nath Ji Maharaj, Member of Parliament, Gorakhur at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Chaukmmafi, Gorakhpur today. Yogi Aditya Nath encouraged the farmers to grow foddder crops for round the year fodder availibility & produce quality seed, feed & fodder for cattle.
Seeds packets of one kg oat were distributed to cattle rearing farmers by the Chief guest.
Dr. P.K.Ghosh, Director, ICAR-IGFRI, Jhansi highlighted the importance of fodder for cattles diet and suggested to farmers for make a plan for production of fodder round the year. He assured to farmers that the seed of fodder crops oats, barseem and grasses root slips are available at ICAR-IGFRI, Jhansi institute and made available to farmers any time.
Earlier, Dr. U.S. Gautam, Director ICAR-ATARI, Kanpur delivered welcome address.
This ghosti was jointly organised with ICAR- Agricultural Technology Application Research Institute (ATARI) Zone-IV, Kanpur and ICAR- Indian Grassland & Fodder Reseach Institute (IGFRI), Jhansi.
