The a-IDEA, Agri-Business Incubator of ICAR-National Academy of Agricultural Research Management, Hyderabad organized a “Sensitization Programme on Entrepreneurship Development in Agriculture for Students of Rani Lakshmi Bai Central Agricultural University (RLBCAU), Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh” today.
In his inaugural address, Dr. Arvind Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, RLBCAU, Jhansi highlighted the Central and State Governments' various Schemes supporting the Agri-Start-Ups in the country.
Dr. Ch. Srinivasa Rao, Director, ICAR-NAARM, Hyderabad outlined about the potential areas of Agripreneurship which are yet to be tapped. He also stressed on the need for fostering the entrepreneurship for agricultural development.
Dr. Sivaramane N., CEO, a-IDEA, ICAR-NAARM, Hyderabad apprised about the process of Incubation and Start-Up industry.
Ms. Archana Chindal, COO, MLIT Solutions & an Entrepreneur in Poultry Sector also shared her experiences in the journey of turning idea to a successful business entity.
The programme was aimed to sensitize the students of the Agricultural Universities and other Colleges about Entrepreneurship opportunities in agriculture.
About 185 students and faculty members virtually participated in the programme.
