A 3-day training of trainers (20-22 September, 2018 ) under Sill Development Programme of Agriculture, Skill Council of India for KVKs of ICAR-ATARI, Zone-II was inaugurated today at SKRAU, Bikaner. Main objective of the training is to provide hands on training to Master Trainers on various job roles (qualification packs and model curriculum) so that they can further provide trainings to rural youth for minimum 200 hours duration for their self-employment.
Prof. B. R. Chippa, Vice Chancellor, SKRAU, Bikaner and Chief Guest of the occasion mentioned that India is lacking skill in general & agricultural skill in particularly in comparison to other developed countries. Hence, there is a need to plan and execute the skill development programmes in an efficient manner with an aim to Double the Income of Farmers by 2022.
Dr. S.K. Sharma, Director of Extension Education, SKRAU, Bikaner mentioned that agricultural skill will play an important role in transforming youth into agri-preneures so that they can be self employed as well as provide employment to others through ambitious programme of Government of India like Make in India, Skill India and Digital India.
About 65 participants of Rajasthan, Haryana & Delhi and 10 participants of Madhya Pradesh on 16 Job Roles during participated in the programme.
