ICAR–Central Citrus Research Institute, Nagpur, and Patanjali Foods Limited, Haridwar, have formalized a strategic partnership to advance India’s citrus value chain through scientific innovation, quality planting material, and enhanced support for citrus growers. A Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) was signed on 26 November 2025 at the Patanjali Headquarters in Haridwar, Uttarakhand, by Dr. Dilip Ghosh, Director, ICAR-CCRI, and Shri Surendra Sharma, Vice President (Operations), Patanjali Foods Limited, in the esteemed presence of Swami Ramdev Ji, whose leadership continues to drive collaborations focused on sustainable agriculture, farmer welfare, and value-chain development.

Under the MoA, Patanjali Foods Limited has acquired licenses for a range of functional food and beverage technologies as well as nursery technologies developed by ICAR-CCRI. The partnership paves the way for several joint initiatives, including the introduction and dissemination of disease-free, high-yielding citrus varieties; capacity-building and technical advisory programmes for smallholder farmers; strengthened post-harvest management and product development; and improved market integration. The collaboration aims to bridge scientific advancements with commercial scalability, enhancing citrus productivity, processing efficiency, and nationwide market linkages.
