ICAR-Central Institute for Women in Agriculture (ICAR-CIWA) prepared a publication on ‘Gender Indicators in Agricultural Research & Extension’ to provide practical guidance for integrating gender perspectives into agricultural research, extension, monitoring and evaluation. The publication highlights context-specific and measurable gender indicators for identifying and assessing gender gaps, participation, access to resources and technologies, decision-making, benefits and empowerment outcomes. It is intended to support researchers, policymakers, extension professionals and development practitioners in generating gender-responsive evidence and strengthening inclusive and equitable agri-food systems.
