ICAR-Krishi Vigyan Kendra of ICAR-Central Coastal Agricultural Research Institute, Goa, in collaboration with the Zonal Agriculture Officer (ZAO), Madgao, organized a hands-on training-cum-demonstration on drone technology for efficient utilization of nutrient Nano Urea and Nano DAP in agriculture today at Nuvem, Madgao, South Goa. The event aimed to showcase the practical applications of drone technology in enhancing agricultural practices.
Shri Rajesh D'Costa, Zonal Agriculture Officer of Madgao, Goa, emphasized the importance of drone technology in modern agriculture and discussed how it is transforming farming practices. He also expressed gratitude to the ICAR-CCARI team for delivering an informative demonstration of drone operations.
The experts provided detailed insights into the practical aspects of the training, demonstrating how drones can effectively apply nano urea and nano DAP for foliar nutrition, boosting crop health and productivity. They also delivered an in-depth lecture on the role of drones in precision agriculture, highlighting how technology is revolutionizing farming operations and enhancing yield quality.
The event was well received by farmers and stakeholders keen to embrace modern technological solutions for improving farm productivity. This initiative is part of ICAR-KVK's continuous efforts to introduce innovative agricultural technologies to farmers in Goa, empowering them to adopt more sustainable and efficient farming practices.
About 23 participants attended the training programme.
The training program was coordinated by Shri Rahul Kumar, Shri Vishwajeet Prajapati, and Dr N. Bommayasamy.
