ICAR-Indian Institute of Sugarcane Research, Lucknow was conferred with the prestigious ‘Agriculture Leadership Award-2024’ for its outstanding research work in sugarcane, which has positively touched the lives of millions of farmers and rural people, at the 15th Agriculture Leadership Conclave-2024 organised by the Agriculture Today Group in New Delhi today.

The award was presented by Shri. Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmer's Welfare in the gracious presence of Shri. Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Shri. Eknath Shinde, Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Shri. Dhanjay Munde, Agriculture Minister of Maharashtra, Shri. Justice P. Sathasivam, Former Chief Justice of India, & Former Governor of Kerala, and Dr. M.J. Khan, President, Agriculture Today Group and Chairman, ICFA.

Dr. Sanjeev Kumar, PS and Head, Division of Crop Improvement received the award on behalf of the Director, ICAR-IISR, Lucknow.
