The ICAR-National Institute of Natural Fibre Engineering and Technology, Kolkata organized the “Farmers’ Fair and Exhibition” today.
The Chief Guest, Dr. Shyam Narayan Jha, Deputy Director General (Agricultural Engineering), ICAR emphasized on establishing a consortium of the Natural Fibre Stakeholders. The DDG also inaugurated the New “Training and Design Centre”, “SAIF&CTC” and unveiled the Newly Renovated Experimental Mill during the occasion.
The Guest of Honor, Dr. Gouranga Kar, Director, ICAR-Central Research Institute for Jute and Allied Fibres, Barrackpore, Kolkata accentuated that both the Institutes will work in synergy to bring a new dawn in the field of natural fibres.
Earlier, delivering the welcome address, Dr. D.B. Shakyawar, Director, ICAR-NINFET, Kolkata underlined the Institute’s working in line with the Atma Nirbhar Bharat.
Dr. Debasis Nag, Former Director, ICAR-NINFET, Kolkata highlighted the Institute’s role for disseminating the developed technologies to the farmers’ front.
