ICAR-National Bureau of Fish Genetic Resources, Lucknow, in collaboration with ICAR-Agricultural Technology Application Research Institute, Kolkata, and WBCADC KVK, Sonamukhi, Bankura, West Bengal, organised a sensitisation and capacity-building programme for scheduled tribe fish farmers at WBCADC KVK, Bankura today.

Prof. (Dr.) A. K. Panigrahi, Pro Vice-Chancellor, University of Burdwan was the Chief Guest of the event.

Dr. U. K Sarkar, Director, ICAR-NBFGR emphasized collaborative efforts for the augmenting livelihood of scheduled tribe fish farmers. 

Dr. Pradip Dey, Director, ICAR ATARI, Kolkata also spoke on the occasion.

Important aquaculture inputs, such as quality fish seed, feed, nets, etc., were distributed among the beneficiaries. 

Over 40 ST fish farmers of Bankura participated in the programme.
