Training Programme on Mushroom Cultivation Technology for Entrepreneurs Inaugurated

A 5-day (20-24 January 2025) Agri-Entrepreneurship programme on skill development in mushroom cultivation technology, organized by the Division of Plant Pathology in collaboration with the Zonal Technology Management & Business Planning and Development Unit, was inaugurated here today.

Dr C. Viswanathan, Joint Director (Research), ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute, addressed 30 mushroom entrepreneurs from nine states—Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, Assam, Telangana, Bihar, Uttarakhand, Haryana, and Tamil Nadu—and emphasized the significance of the training program in becoming a successful entrepreneur in mushroom cultivation.

Dr M.S. Saharan, Head, Division of Plant Pathology, highlighted the significance of mushroom production in India.

Dr Renu Pandey, Head, Division of Plant Physiology, briefed the role of the ZTM & BPD Unit of ICAR-IARI as an incubator center.
