The 16th Research Advisory Committee Meeting of the ICAR-National Institute of Veterinary Epidemiology and Disease Informatics, took place today in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
Dr. B.R. Gulati, Director, ICAR-NIVEDI, highlighted the institute's recent accomplishments, focusing on disease forecasting, sero-surveillance of critical livestock diseases, the development of diagnostic assays for major livestock diseases, and economic analysis.
Dr. M.P. Yadav, Chairman, Chairman, RAC, ICAR-NIVEDI, delivered opening remarks through an online platform, commending the institute's progress over the past year.
Dr. Ashok Kumar, Assistant Director General (Animal Health) ICAR, emphasized the importance of gathering real-time livestock disease data and associated risk factors.
Dr. S.S. Patil, Member Secretary, Govt of Maharashtra, presented an Action Taken Report on recommendations from previous RAC meetings.
Dr. Gulati underscored the importance of collaborative efforts among ICAR-NIVEDI's scientific staff to enhance research outcomes using the available resources during the valedictory session. Leaders from various research groups presented their 2023 research achievements.
