5th C.R. Nodder Memorial Lecture delivered

The ICAR-National Institute of Natural Fibre Engineering and Technology, Kolkata, West Bengal organized the “5th C.R. Nodder Memorial Lecture” today.

Prof. (Dr.) S.M. Ishtiaque, Emeritus Professor, Department of Textile & Fibre Engineering, IIT Delhi delivered the 5th C.R. Nodder Memorial Lecture. In his address, he highlighted the importance of natural fibre in preparing the different types of composites and their comparative performance with glass and ceramic composites. He also outlined the use of composite in medical, automobile and building materials. Prof. Ishtiaque described some instrument developments based on the pattern blending and yarn uniformity.

Earlier, Dr. S. Sengupta, Principal Scientist & Head, MP Division outlined the life sketch of Late Shri C.R. Nodder.
