The Second Graduation Ceremony of Agri-Startups, hosted by a-IDEA, at ICAR- National Academy of Agricultural Research Management here today. The event celebrated the achievements of 43 startups from 13 states and 12 domains, including AgTech and Precision Farming. Under expert guidance, these startups participated in programs like FPO Immersion and Cohort Networking. 6 startups advanced to the acceleration phase, while 14 agricultural students received internships. The ceremony aimed to applaud their achievements and fortify the burgeoning startup ecosystem in agriculture.
The Chief Guest, Shri. Govinda Rajulu Chintala, Former Chairman, NABARD, and Chairman, RAC, ICAR-NAARM, stressed the importance of startups cultivating independent strength, cautioning against heavy reliance on funds. He congratulated and encouraged them to contribute to the nation's growth.
The Guest of Honour, Shri. Raymond B D’Souza, Chief General Manager, OFDD, NABARD, emphasised the significance of ensuring startup products are market-ready.
Dr. Ch. Srinivasa Rao, President, a-IDEA & Director, ICAR-NAARM, emphasised the collaborative efforts in fostering the success and growth of the agricultural startup landscape.
Earlier, Dr. G. Venkateshwarlu, Vice President, a-IDEA and Joint Director, ICAR-NAARM, welcomed all the Guests to the ceremony.
The programme was attended by about 200 officials covering bankers, investors, incubation heads, startup enthusiasts, faculties, students and other officials.
