A training and demonstration was held in three hatcheries run by the Chhattisgarh Department of Fisheries from August 22nd–27th, 2023.

The cryopreserved sperm was used to fertilize about 35 lakh eggs of Rohu, Catla, and Mrigal. The average fertilization rate ranged from 40 to 55% in three species, and approximately 13 lakh spawns were produced. The overall activity will result in broodstock development of superior quality.
