ICAR- Indian Institute of Millets Research, Hyderabad & Khadi and Village Industries Commission Regional office, Telangana jointly organized a one-day workshop on Prime Ministers Employment Guarantee Programme & Business Opportunities in Millets for various stakeholders viz., Startups, budding entrepreneurs, FPOs, SHGs, farmers and unemployed youth of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, and Maharashtra today.
Dr. C.V. Ratnavathi, Director, ICAR-IIMR, in her welcome address briefed the recent activities, and achievements of ICAR-IIMR in enhancing the area, production, and productivity of millets.
Shri Shashiranjan Verma IES, Director, KVIC, outlined the importance of PMEGP and its role in supporting the budding entrepreneurs.
The participants visited the Nutri-hub, ICAR-IIMR for understanding the procedures of Millet’s entrepreneurial thought into reality.
