Customized Skill Development Training for Rural Women organized

The ICAR-National Academy of Agricultural Research Management, Hyderabad has organized the five-day Customized Skill Development Training Programme on “tailoring under SC Sub-Plan for rural women and other participants” from the Lachampur Village, Talamdugu Mandal (Adilabad) and Agraham Potlapally Village, Rajapur Mandal (Mahaboobnagar), Telangana State from 23rd March to 27th March, 2021.

The programme has been organized by the Academy in association with the Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University and the All India Coordinated Research Project on Women in Agriculture, Rajendranagar Campus, Hyderabad.

The Chief Guest, Dr. V. Praveen Rao, Vice-Chancellor, Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University, Telangana encouraged the participants to start their own tailoring shops or boutique there being a lot of demand for readymade garments.

In his inaugural address, the Guest of Honor, Dr. Ch. Srinivasa Rao, Director, ICAR-NAARM, Hyderabad urged the participants to come out with their own enterprises to support the family and raise socio-economic status.

The dignitaries also distributed the tailoring machines along with kit of accessories to the participants during the occasion.

As a part of implementation of Sub-Plan activities, a total of 30 participants registered in the training programme.
