ICAR-Central Institute of Agricultural Engineering, Bhopal celebrated its 48th Foundation Day here today.
The Chief Guest, Dr SN Jha, DDG (Engineering), ICAR in his address underlined the role of ICAR-CIAE in agriculture and nation-building. He also congratulated the institute for new innovations and emphasized paying special attention to updating and modernizing the developed technologies of the Institute to make them accessible to the stakeholders.
The DDG also inaugurated the new main gate and visitor room of the institute.
Dr Praveen Sharma, Managing Director, Global Florex delivered the Professor A.C. Pandya Memorial lecture.
Earlier, Dr. CR Mehta, Director, ICAR-CIAE in his welcome address briefed about the impact of agricultural engineering and its role in nation building. He presented details of the machinery and technologies developed by the Institute over the years, highlighting the remarkable achievements
The Directors of the Bhopal-based ICAR Institutes (ICAR-IISS and ICAR-NIHSAD) and Director, Directorate of Agricultural Engineering, Madhya Pradesh also graced the occasion.
Three progressive farmers were felicitated for their significant contribution to agriculture.
Agricultural machinery manufacturers from Madhya Pradesh participated in an exhibition and exhibited their developed machinery.
About 100 farmers participated in the program.
