Eco-tourism is an important activity of the equine sector to popularize equines for societal pleasantry and economic benefits of the equine Rears in the country. In this regard, the ICAR-National Research Centre on Equines, Hisar, Haryana has launched this activity at the Hisar campus of the Institute. In a special event,
Dr. Abhijit Mitra, AHC, Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Govt. of India, Dr. Raghavendra Bhatta, Deputy Director General (Animal Science), ICAR, Prof. Vinod Kumar Verma, Vice Chancellor, Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Hisar and Dr T.K. Datta, Director, Central Institute for Research on Buffaloes, Hisar were present in the programme.
The dignitaries released Equi-compost production technology and an Android mobile app called Mare-USG App, which serves as a resource for veterinarians and academicians in equine theriogenology. They also released three publications: ‘Ashav Palan v Ashav Chikitsa’ in Hindi for veterinarians and equine rears, ‘NRCE-NEWS’ and ‘Procedures on Embryo Transfer Technology in equines.’
Around 80 participants attended the event.
