The Executive Development Programme on “Leadership Development” organized for 18 Research Managers encompassing Deputy Directors General / Assistant Directors General of ICAR Head Quarters and Directors / Joint Directors of ICAR Institutes across the country spanning from Arunachal Pradesh to Andaman & Nicobar Islands from 4th to 9th July, 2022 concluded today.
The Chief Guest of valedictory ceremony, Shri Hemang Jani, Secretary, Capacity Building Commission, New Delhi, Government of India stressed on the need for the demand driven capacity building programmes and democratizing the training with flexibility of anywhere & anytime mode. He emphasized the Mission Karmayogi for the enhancement of competencies of Civil Servants of the country.
Earlier, delivering the inaugural address, Prof. Appa Rao Podile, Former Vice-Chancellor, University of Hyderabad accentuated on the transformational leadership for the success of the Organization and advocated to follow the best practices of other successful Organizations.
Dr. Ch. Srinivasa Rao, Director, ICAR-NAARM, Hyderabad urged the participants for translating the learning into action at the respective ecosystems for improving the organizational efficiency towards farmers’ welfare and resolving the current challenges in the agriculture sector.
Dr. G. Venkateswarlu, Joint Director, ICAR-NAARM, Hyderabad underlined the different capacity building initiatives of the Institute and their impacts.
