ICAR- Central Institute for Subtropical Horticulture, Lucknow, organised Horticulture Investor’s Meet-2023 in collaboration with ‘Invest UP’, Government of Uttar Pradesh today.
The meeting was chaired by Shri. Manoj Kumar Singh, IAS, Agriculture Production Commissioner, Govt. of Uttar Pradesh.
Innova Agri Park, Bengaluru, a subsidiary of Bharat Biotech, Pune, received approval from the Government of Uttar Pradesh to build a state-of-the-art integrated pack house with gamma irradiation facility close to Jewar Airport in the NCR region in response to the emphasis on ICAR-CISH for the state's farmers.
The event was commemorated by the exchange of MoU between the ICAR CISH and M/s Innova Food Park, Bengaluru for research collaboration in the field of post-harvest studies using gamma radiation and Metabolite engineering technologies for promoting sea route mango export as well as in the processing of sub-tropical fruits using cryogenic technology. With the construction of a cutting-edge facility in Uttar Pradesh, mango exports are expected to increase significantly, which would help lakhs of farmers.
More than 120 investors, startups, traders and corporate houses working on horticulture participated in the meet.
