A Memorandum of Understanding was signed today between ICAR-Agricultural Technology Application Research Institute, Kolkata, and the National Institute of Homoeopathy under the Ministry of AYUSH, Kolkata, for the development of Homeopathic Medicine using medicinal plants and organizing welfare medicinal camp by NIH for generating data on health-related issues to formulate future strategies of health management in rural areas.
Dr. Pradip Dey, Director, ICAR-ATARI, Kolkata, and Dr. Subhas Singh, Director, NIH, signed the MoU on behalf of their organizations.
ICAR-ATARI and NIH are partnering for the development of the agriculture sector/ animal husbandry sector by the application of homeopathy medicine and to try better quality food and healthier and more nutritious crops. NIH will make efforts to take up welfare medicinal camps in different KVKs as well as generate data on health-related issues of the region to formulate future strategies of health management, especially for the peasantry.
Dr. Kumaravel V, Head, Department of Pathology, NIH, and other officials of the institute were present during the event.
