­­­­ICAR-CCARI organises a Field Day-cum-farmers interaction

ICAR-Central Coastal Agricultural Research Institute, Goa organized a Field Day-cum-Farmers Interaction Meet at Nigude Village in the coastal district of Sindhudurg, Maharashtra, today.

ICAR-CCARI Scientists interacted with a total of 19 farmers and guided clean milk production, nutritional and reproductive management, breed improvement, cultivation of high-yielding fodder varieties, and shelter management of dairy animals. They also visited an integrated farm of a progressive farmer in which 90 Gir cows, 70 local goats, 1500 Chickens,  100 ducks, 25 turkeys, and 10 guinea fowls, farming was integrated with vegetable farming in an area of 17 acres.
