ICAR- Central Citrus Research Institute, Nagpur organized a training programme on ‘Production and Rejuvenation Practices of Declined Mandarin Orchards’ under the NEH Plan at College of Horticulture and Forestry (CHF), CAU, Pasighat, Arunachal Pradesh
This training programme was coordinated by Dr. Dilip Ghosh, Director and Dr. R.K. Sonkar, Pr. Scientist (Hort.). This training programme was in collaboration with ICAR-ATARI, Guwahati, CHF Pasighat and Department of Agriculture, Govt of Arunachal Pradesh.
The programme was initiated as per recommendation of ICAR - Regional Committee Meeting (Zone III) for undertaking a demonstration of rejuvenation technology in declined mandarin orchards of Dambuk and Wakro village.
A total of 50 farmers from Pasighat, Dambuk and Wakro areas took part in the training programme. All the participating farmers were later provided with starter kits in knapsack bags comprising of pruners and biopesticides. An exhibitions displaying different citrus fruits was also done.
