ICAR –CIBA Signs MoU with Novozymes South Asia Pvt. Ltd. Karnataka

ICAR- Central Institute of Brackishwater Aquaculture, Tamil Nadu, signed an MoU with Ms.Novozymes South Asia Pvt. Ltd., Karnataka for the contract research for the evaluation of Novozymes BIORAS consortium product during nursery and grow-out farming technology in Penaeid shrimps in the presence of Dr. Himanshu Pathak, Secretary (DARE) & Director General, (ICAR) and Dr. Joykrushna Jena, Deputy Director General (Fisheries), ICAR, in the side-lines of ICAR Regional Committee Meeting today in Chennai.

16th February 2024, Chennai  ICAR- Central Institute of Brackishwater Aquaculture, Tamil Nadu, signed an MoU with Ms.Novozymes South Asia Pvt. Ltd., Karnataka for the contract research for the evaluation of Novozymes BIORAS consortium product during nursery and grow-out farming technology in Penaeid shrimps in the presence of Dr. Himanshu Pathak, Secretary (DARE) & Director General, (ICAR) and Dr. Joykrushna Jena, Deputy Director General (Fisheries), ICAR, in the side-lines of ICAR Regional Committee Meeting today in Chennai.  Dr. Pathak reiterated on enhancing the productivity of aquaculture and its inputs for sustainability in fisheries.  Dr. Kuldeep K Lal, Director, ICAR-CIBA, emphasised the genesis of this collaborative R&D programme.  Shri B. Mallick, CEO, Ms. Novozymes South Asia Pvt. Ltd., signed the MoU on behalf of the company. Shri. Mallik, informed that they specialized in finding enzymes and microbial solutions for aquaculture and have probiotic feed solutions, biodiesel, biogas, bio-augmentation, sludge treatment and advanced protein solutions, carbon capture with biological enzymes, etc.  The scientists, staff, and students of CIBA were present in the programme.
