The Central Government has implemented various schemes to enhance millet production and utilization. The Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations declared 2023 as the International Year of Millets, leading to the rise of millet-based products in Kerala.

Entrepreneurs can address nutritional deficiencies and create market opportunities by incorporating millet and fish protein dishes into their food items, which significantly enhance their nutritional value. Fish is a rich source of protein, omega-3 fatty acids, and essential minerals like calcium, phosphorus, iron, zinc, iodine, magnesium, and potassium, which can help address various health issues, making it beneficial for children, pregnant women, and the elderly.

The production of these food items not only provides employment opportunities for local entrepreneurs but also contributes to the country's economic development, ensuring food security and creating new employment opportunities within the community.
