The ICAR-Central Institute for Research on Cotton Technology, Mumbai signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Krishi Vidyapeeth, Parbhani today.

The MoU has been signed by Dr. (Prof.) Indra Mani, Vice-Chancellor, VNMKV Parbhani, and Dr. Sujeet Kumar Shukla, Director, ICAR-CIRCOT on behalf of respective organizations for collaborative research and academic benefits in order to synergize the expertise of both the institutes in the cotton sector.
Dr. (Prof.) Mani emphasized the opportunities for conducting different activities and programs, exchange of faculty and students, capacity building of staff for fostering long-term collaborative cutting-edge research programmes related to post-harvest processing of cotton and by-product utilization.
Dr. Ashok Kumar Bharimalla (Senior Scientist, ICAR-CIRCOT) elaborated on the research activities carried out at the institute including the application of nanotechnology in agriculture, post-harvest processing and value addition of cotton.
Dr. D.P. Waskar (Director of Research, VNMKV Parbhani), Dr. K.S Baig (Cotton Specialist, VNMKV Parbhani), Dr. Manoj Kumar Mahawar (Scientist, ICAR-CIRCOT) and Dr. Jyoti Dhakane- Lad (Scientist, ICAR-CIRCOT) were also present during this occasion.
