ICAR-Central Research Institute for Dryland Agriculture, Hyderabad, organised a ‘Kisan Mela’ today under the SC Sub-Plan. The programme was held at Algaon Village, Kotapally Mandal, Mancherial District, Telangana.
The Chief Guest Dr. V. K. Singh, Director, ICAR-CRIDA emphasised the role of farmers in food grain production. He highlighted various rainfed technologies for resource conservation. He also urged the farmers to participate in skill development programmes to enhance their livelihood security.
The programme showcased the use of drone technology in agricultural operations. Director, ICAR-CRIDA along with other officials and team members monitored various interventions under SCSP.
About 200 farmers from the SCSP-adopted villages participated in the programme.
