ICAR-CSWRI organises Farmer-Scientist Interaction

ICAR- Central Sheep and Wool Research Institute, Avikanagar, organised a farmer-scientist meeting and free distribution of blankets to the registered Scheduled Caste farmers of the Malpura sheep project under Network Project on Sheep Improvement at sector 18 of AGB Division, today.

Dr. A.K Tomar, Director, ICAR-CSWRI, explained the role of the Institute in the genetic improvement of different breeds and the importance of scientific sheep rearing. He emphasised that the CSWRI health experts should properly diagnose the affected animal for their effective treatment. Dr. Tomar urged the need to protect the animals during the winter.  

During the interactive meeting, farmers raised different health-related issues for their sheep.

About 20 Scheduled Caste BPL farmers from 11 villages of the project area have benefited from the blankets manufactured at CSWRI.
