The ICAR-Directorate of Medicinal & Aromatic Plants Research, Anand, Gujarat celebrated its 30th Foundation Day today.
In his address, the Chief Guest, Dr. K.B. Katheria, Vice-Chancellor, Anand Agricultural University, Anand, Gujarat emphasized on the need for accelerated development of the varieties and hybrids in the Medicinal and Aromatic Plants. He also urged for taking-up the translational research to benefit the MAP Stakeholders.
Dr. K.C. Dalal, Former Director, ICAR-DMAPR (Formerly NRCMAP), Anand stressed on the need for the value-addition of MAPs products to get more returns.
Earlier, welcoming the dignitaries, Dr. Satyajit Roy, Director, ICAR-DMAPR, Anand, Gujarat briefed about the Directorate’s achievements, growth and progress.
