The ICAR-Indian Institute of Soil Science, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh organized the “Krishi Mela-cum- Krishak Sangoshthi” at Gidhali Village, Mohala Block of Rajnandgaon District, Chhattisgarh today.
The Chief Guest, Padma Shri, Smt. Phoolbasan Bai Yadav, President, Maa Bamleshwari Janhit Karya Samiti emphasised on the importance of organic farming practices for soil health improvement.
The tribal women were distributed the HYVs of rice, green gram and portable vermibeds during the occasion. The occasion held a Krishak Sangoshthi on “Soil Health Management”.
The team of scientists from the ICAR-IISS, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh visited the demonstration fields on Chickpea. The Scientists’-Farmers’-Interactive Meeting was also held in Mogra Village of Ambagarh Chowki Block, Rajnandgaon District during the occasion.
Altogether 350 tribal farmers attended the Mela and Sangoshthi.
