ICAR-IISWC, Dehradun organizes Training Programme on Tools and Techniques of Sampling in Soil and Water Conservation Research

The ICAR-Indian Institute of Soil & Water Conservation, Dehradun, Uttarakhand has organized the 12-day Training Programme on “Tools and Techniques of Sampling in Soil and Water Conservation” from today.

In his inaugural address, Dr. R.S. Yadav, Director, ICAR-IISWC, Dehradun, Uttarakhand highlighted the importance of the training programme for the participants. He stressed that the programme would provide a common learning platform for the participants and makes them competent to work more confidently at the field level.

Dr. D. Mandal, Course Director of the Training Programme briefed about the contents and various modules to be dealt with in the programme. He also highlighted about the management of natural resources as the key to sustainable development.

The programme has been organized under the National Fellow Project that will provide an overall glimpse of the various aspects of sampling and recording of different research facets related to soil and water conservation.

A total of 17 participants have registered for the training programme.
