ICAR-NAARM celebrates 45th Foundation Day

The ICAR-National Academy of Agricultural Research Management, Hyderabad celebrated its “45th Foundation Day” today.

In his Foundation Day Lecture, Dr. RS. Paroda, Former Secretary (DARE) & DG (ICAR) stressed that the Institution as a Think Tank has to institutionalize a new paradigm in terms of organizational restructuring, developing a global view, instilling competencies for foresight and visioning and also in prioritizing the research areas. He also emphasized that the Institute should collaborate with the other scientific academies of the country, international research academic institutions and also the industry.

Dr. Paroda also conferred the Annual Awards of ICAR-NAARM for the best performing employees in the scientific, technical, administrative and supporting staff categories. Around 11 farmers representing the country’s different agro-climatic zones were also felicitated during the ceremony for their innovative farming practices.

The occasion also marked the release of a Publication on “ICAR-HRD Units at a glance”.

In his welcome address, Dr. Ch. Srinivasa Rao, Director, ICAR-NAARM, Hyderabad highlighted the Academy’s salient achievements in the areas of capacity building, research and academics during the preceding year. He applauded the Institute’s staff members’ efforts for serving as the frontline warriors during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
