ICAR-NBFGR organises Awareness Campaign for Popularization of Report fish Disease App

An awareness campaign was organized by the ICAR-National Bureau of Fisheries Genetic Resources, Lucknow, and Abhinav Fish Farmer Producer Organization, Barabanki for popularizing the Report fish disease app, management of fish diseases and use of drones in fisheries management in Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh.

Dr U.K. Sarkar, Director, ICAR-National Bureau of Fish Genetic Resources, Lucknow and Co-coordinator, National Surveillance Programme on Aquatic Animal Diseases, highlighted the different programmes of the Institute for the overall growth of the fisheries sector in the region. Dr. Sarkar stated that the Bureau has been playing a pivotal role in providing quality fish seed and diversification of conservation aquaculture. He emphasised the need to popularise the Report Fish Disease app to reduce the losses due to fish diseases.

About100 fish farmers participated in the programme.
