ICAR-NINFET celebrates 83rd Foundation Day

The ICAR-National Institute of Natural Fibre Engineering and Technology, Kolkata, West Bengal celebrated its “83rd Foundation Day” today.
The Chief Guest, Dr. S.N. Jha, ADG (PE), ICAR delivered the Foundation Day Lecture.
Dr. G. Kar, Director, ICAR-Central Research Institute for Jute and Allied Fibres, Barrackpore, Kolkata, West Bengal marked his presence as the Guest of Honor.
Earlier, in his welcome address, Dr. D.B. Shakyawar, Director, ICAR-NINFET, Kolkata, West Bengal highlighted the importance of natural fibre and the Institute’s future roadmap.
The HRD Cell of the Institute was also inaugurated during the occasion.
The two Progressive Farmers and Entrepreneurs were also felicitated for their important contributions in jute agriculture and technology implementation using the Institute’s innovations.
