ICAR-National Research Centre on Meat, Hyderabad organized a 5-day training program on Entrepreneurship Development Program on “Value added Meat Products and Processing” from 30 January-3 February 2023.
Dr. S.B. Barbuddhe, Director, ICAR-NRC on Meat stressed the importance of safe and wholesome meat production, processing, and marketing. Further, he urged concerted efforts to be a successful entrepreneur. He also briefed about the opportunities in the value-addition and highlighted important Government of India Schemes for food processing.
A total of ten participants from Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Maharashtra states participated in the training program. During the training program, theory classes and practical demonstrations and hands-on training covering the entire meat value chain, and lectures from external experts/faculties on funding opportunities and Government of India schemes, preparation of detailed project reports and FSSAI licensing, etc. were arranged.
