a-IDEA, TBI, ICAR-NAARM and NABARD - Madurai Agribusiness Incubation Forum, organised FPOs/FPCs, Farmers, Startups Immersion Programme at Agriculture college, Madurai today with an objective to connect the FPOs and the farmers of Andhra Pradesh with the startups supported by a-IDEA. The objective of the programme is to connect the Tamil Nadu State FPOs and Farmers with a-IDEA-supported start-ups.
Twenty-two start-ups, more than 82 FPOs and 100 farmers from different places of Tamil Nādu participated in the programme.
Dr. R. Nantha Gopal, IAS, Commissioner, Backward Classes Welfare, Government of Tamil Nadu presided over the programme and expressed that at present, linking Start-ups with FPOs is a win-win situation for both to develop their business activities and ICAR-NAARM is working in this direction by facilitating the startups and FPOs through organising immersion programme throughout the country across different districts of various states.
Shri. T. Venkatakrishna, Chief General Manager, NABARD Regional Office, Chennai threw light on the role of NABARD in promoting the FPOs in Tamil Nadu, and expressed that linking FPOs and farmers with start-ups is a unique activity as it will be beneficial to FPOs and start-ups to run their business transactions.
The startups presented their innovations, products, and services and demonstrated its advantages. The event acted as an ultimate platform for networking between them for successful business transactions and for further collaboration.
