Dr D.K. Yadava, Deputy Director General (Crop Science) ICAR, visited the Krishi Vigyan Kendra of ICAR-Indian Institute of Rapeseed-Mustard Research, (Bansur) Alwar, Rajasthan.
Dr Yadava commended the inclusive approach adopted by the Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) in addressing various farming-related issues. During his visit, he engaged with farmers and expressed concern over the challenges they face in the cultivation of field crops, vegetables, horticultural produce, and in activities such as beekeeping. He assured the farmers that ICAR is committed to resolving their problems and will coordinate with the relevant departments and agencies to provide necessary support.

Dr Yadava also urged the KVK to actively assist farmers in gaining better market access for their produce. In addition, he visited the KVK farm and reviewed ongoing activities, while also interacting with the staff.
Dr V.V. Singh, Director of ICAR-IIRMR, highlighted the institute’s recent innovations aimed at overcoming challenges in rapeseed-mustard cultivation. He lauded the efforts of the KVK staff for effectively promoting IIRMR-developed technologies that support the sustainable production of rapeseed-mustard.
