Farmers-Scientist Interaction Meet-cum-Input Distribution under the DAPSC Scheme

ICAR-National Institute of Animal Nutrition and Physiology, Bengaluru organized a Farmers-Scientist Interaction Meet-cum-Input Distribution today scientific feeding for dairy farmers and distributed Cattle feed to selected SC Dairy farmers of Thally Block Krishnagiri Dt, Tamil Nadu under the Development Action Plan for Scheduled Caste (DAPSC). This programme aimed to educate farmers about scientific feeding of dairy animals.
Dr Artabandhu Sahoo Director, ICAR-NIANP briefed about the importance of Cattle feeds and scientific feeding for dairy animals. He stressed the role of ICAR-NIANP in contributing to the Nutrition and Welfare of livestock in different physiological stages for augmenting productivity and also insisted on Rubber mats, the Cleanliness of dairy farms, and clean milk production.
A total of 75 dairy farmers belonging to scheduled castes benefitted from the programme.
