ICAR-Central Institute of Brackishwater Aquaculture, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Nutricape Pvt. Ltd., a dynamic startup specializing in size-optimized bio-encapsulation services for aqua feed manufacturers today. The collaboration aims to evaluate the effect of nano-encapsulated phytase on the growth and survival of Pacific White Shrimp, Penaeus vannamei.
The MoU was signed in the presence of Dr Kuldeep Kumar Lal, Director, ICAR-CIBA. He emphasized the importance of phytase in aquaculture, particularly for shrimp and fish, and highlighted the significance of targeted delivery.
Dr K. Ambasankar, Principal Scientist and team leader for the project outlined the objectives and potential impact of the initiative on aqua feed production, emphasizing its role in improving environmental sustainability and economic benefits.
Ms D. Rishika, CEO, Nutricape Pvt. Ltd., spoke about the company's research solutions, focusing on nano-encapsulation and targeted delivery. She also discussed the promising potential of this innovative technology in advancing aquaculture practices.
This collaboration is expected to enhance innovation, sustainability, and competitiveness in the aqua feed sector, with long-term benefits for both the environment and the industry.
